Katie Greig

ADVISER | Canny Plan Management

SUPERPOWER // Emotional X-Ray Vision + The Ability To Make People Feel Secure

Katie is currently studying a double degree in Psychological Science and Criminology with the end goal to be assisting on crime scenes and studying the functions behind behaviours, exploring the criminal mind.

Katie has worked as a self-employed ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) Therapist for the last ten years, predominantly with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) children and teens, teaching them independence skills and helping them to communicate effectively.

During this time, Katie has had many other roles across different disability agencies, including autism advisory, intake and support coordination roles in which she has supported families and individuals alike to access funding to support their daily needs and helped them to build capacity and bring together a whole team, person-centred approach.

Katie’s favourite part of her role is being able to transfer her ability and NDIA knowledge to Canny Plan Management and admits that it’s very rewarding about opening up people’s eyes to the world of disability and being able to share the passion of advocating and supporting others.

Outside of the office, you will always find Katie travelling, both internationally and domestically.  She will never turn down a road trip and she guarantees to pack a car better than the Tetris world champion.  When Katie isn’t travelling, you’ll find her at the beach with her dogs and spending time with family and friends.
