Zachary Henderson
MARKETING + BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT | Canny Group
SUPERPOWER // Finding creative solutions to stressful problems
Zachary was born in Sydney, but raised on a farm on the outskirts of Little River.
Although he was a great farmhand, it didn’t take Zach long to discover his love for technology and film. After graduating from VCE at Lara Secondary College, Zach went on to begin studying Film at SAE Institute of Creativity.
He spent a year learning and refining new skills for his passion and ultimately decided to leave his course to pursue his goals of working in the creative industry as soon as possible. After working for some time within the Photography and Videography landscape, Zach worked on all things creative from short films, music videos and even music festival videos.
Zach then went on to begin his career in marketing with the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, joining their team as a Social Media and Events Trainee. Where he spent 12 months learning new things about marketing and organising and running events. After completing his traineeship and moving on to another company, Zach once again went out on his own, beginning his journey as a sole trader to work as a Freelance Marketing Coordinator. Since then, Zach has worked with multiple companies, assisting them with their marketing efforts and creative work.
This has motivated Zach to pursue marketing further and continue to develop his professional skillset! Leading him to our doors here at Canny Group, joining our team as our Marketing and Business Development Assistant to aid with marketing strategies and efforts for all of the businesses that form Canny Group.
Outside of work, Zach is still an avid lover of all things creative and is often always working on a creative project in one way or another, whether it be short films, writing scripts and stories or photography and videography. When the weekend arrives, he can often be spotted on the greens of a golf course working on his golf game or at a table with mates playing Dungeons and Dragons.
