CANNY ADVISORY: Client Services Officer

We’re thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to join our progressive and multidisciplinary company, based in North Geelong, as a valued member of our financial planning team.  Collaborating closely with our accounting, legal and NDIS Plan Management teams, we’re in search of a Client Services Officer to join our highly skilled, cooperative, and supportive team.

Based in our spacious, open-plan, and newly refurbished office within the Federal Mills Business Precinct, you’ll feel right at home surrounded by lush indoor greenery and forward-thinking colleagues representing diverse backgrounds.  This is an initiative to become an integral part of our growing financial planning team, offering a full-time role to a dynamic individual committed to making a real difference.

So, what does a typical day look like for a Client Services Officer?  Whilst we can assure you that no two days will be identical, envision yourself undertaking tasks such as:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to our Financial Advisers;
  • Conducting research to assist in the preparation of advice documents
  • Managing implementation (strategy, investment, and insurance) for our clients;
  • Assisting in the preparation of client portfolio reviews;
  • Communicating with clients as necessary;
  • Addressing client enquiries promptly and effectively;
  • Updating and maintaining client information using financial planning software; and
  • Making calls to product providers and Centrelink as required.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively;
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills;
  • Professional demeanour, well-presented, enthusiastic and personable;
  • Previous experience in an administrative role;
  • Previously experience within a financial planning firm with a proven track record of strategy implementation (preferred);
  • Proficiency in utilising Xplan software (preferred); and
  • Rights to work in Australia.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, however, an indicative starting range would be: $55,000 – $65,000 depending on your level of experience.
